"My Comfort Keepers take care of my wife as if she was her mom."
"Just a note that my Dad said your lady last night was an excellent cook and he enjoyed her company. He said she fried the best chicken he's had in a long time. I'm sure you know that food becomes very important when other activities are limited. Also, I would like to tell you that I am so happy with Comfort Keepers and how you run your business. It brings me such peace of mind that they are being taken care of when I can't be there. I am hoping Dad will come to the realization that more hours/days per week would be a good thing because he is definitely slowing down and just can't do what he used to. Thank you for your help and kindness."
"Having Comfort Keepers in home with our mother provided my brother and I so much peace of mind. Sherry and my mother shared something very special, she is always able to bring a smile to her face."
"When the girls are here we have a great conversation and my days more fulfilling and I don't feel as alone. The food they prepare is great!"
"I would like to compliment the Comfort Keepers for excellent work while caring for me. Gina was punctual, pleasant, cheerful and efficient at all times. I would be happy to recommend her to people who are in need of their services."
"We are pleased to recommend Comfort Keepers of South Virginia Beach as a company of caring and dependable in-home caregivers for senior citizens. Comfort Keepers provided care for our mother for a period of six months. This care began as ten hours a day, including late night care and transitioned to six hours a day as she improved to the point now where she needs little direct care and only minimal supervision. We firmly believe that she would not have progressed to this point this quickly without the care provided by Comfort Keepers. Ms. Krista Shipe and her staff rescued us in September 2013 when our mother unexpectedly required full-time care in our home after injuring herself. We called them in a panic on a Saturday morning and Krista came out immediately to assess our needs and had an outstanding caregiver in place first thing Monday morning allowing us to return to work with a clear mind. They consistently provided prompt, dependable and compassionate care for a bedridden senior for a period of six months. On the few occasions that we needed unscheduled help on very short notice, they stepped up and helped us out. Their expert advice helped us navigate the treacherous and unfamiliar waters of geriatric care. While we have reached the point that we feel we no longer need the services of Comfort Keepers, we recognize that we may very well need senior care for our mother at some point in the future. Should that need arise, they will certainly be our first call. We highly recommend Comfort Keepers."
The Story Of Craig & Jamarl
When your loved one has spent time in a hospital or rehab facility, it can seem overwhelming to have to take care of them when they return home. This was the case for one of our clients, Betty Lou when her husband, Craig, spent a month in rehab. After learning about Comfort Keepers® from her son, she gave us a call and we’ve been helping her family for over two years now! Their caregiver, Jamarl, is proud to provide Craig companionship and they both love to do the daily newspaper crossword together, as well as debate and share stories. This has benefitted Both Craig and Betty Lou in many ways, he says his memory has been improved by the conversations and she says that she feels better about herself and her mental frame with the help they’ve received.
Part of the Comfort Keepers® difference is our philosophy called Interactive Caregiving™. This means that our caregivers are trained to go above and beyond in making sure your loved one is taken care of mentally, physically, and socially. They will work with you and your senior to put together a care plan that will meet both your needs, whatever they may be. This can be anything from a smiling face and a kind ear for stories to providing respite care to family members overburdened by responsibilities. We know that growing older is hard, but getting help doesn’t have to be.
